The city of Brea, California presented Emma with a proclamation, making May 20th Food Allergy Awareness day!

Thank you to everyone who supported and attended our Food Allergy Awareness Meetup on May 21, 2022. This inaugural event helped increase awareness about food allergies to people from all over -- including more than 100 people who preregistered or attended the day of the event from as far away as the United Kingdom, as well as to thousands of social media followers leading up to the event, and many more who read about the event in magazine articles and community promotions. Last year Allergic Emma held her first food allergy awareness event…and the response was overwhelming. With over 32 million food-allergic people worldwide, it’s no surprise. Emma’s spectacular event in Orange County not only increased awareness of the challenges food allergy families face every day, it was also an opportunity for learning, resource-discovery, celebration, and community connection-building. At the heart of Emma’s event, a simple goal – to empower those with food allergies to live their lives fully, and safely.

This year’s event promises to be even bigger and bolder, with more resources, more connections, and more families.
